    Switched my TV off for lent in 2005. Also gave up alcohol for lent that year.
    Opened a bottle of wine at Easter time but never switched the TV on again.
    Moved it into the garage in 2006, gave it away in 2008.
    Never missed it once in (almost) seven years.

    Still buying vinyl.
