Old Family Photo Scan Strut

Years ago my mom gave me a few boxes of family photos. Most range from the last 20-30 years, but some go back over 100 years. For my moms birthday I scanned about 300 and put them on a tablet I bought her as a gift.

I thought I'd share a few with the strut. Anyone else have some really old family photos?

This first one I was going to ask the strut for an ID (Since there are some folks on here with amazing knowledge in a wide range of topics).

This is my Grandfather near the end of the WWII (In either Germany or England). My Grandfather has never seen this photo until I showed him it a month back. Does anyone on the strut know what model motorcycle he's on?

This is my Grandmother.

Another Grandmother photo.

This is both of them being frisky.

Love the toy car in this photo.

My Great-Grandfather in the 1900's.

Great-Grandfather again.

This is family before they came to North America. Photo is late 1800's.

Thanks again for checking these out. Anyone with any info on the bike would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like a Triumph. they had 3 or 4 models used during WWII. Not sure which that would be from the photo. possibly:

Awesome! Many thanks Delay & Rock on the subject.

These photos are great. Thx for posting Elise, Edith, Crashcourse.

Saba, why did you take your pic down? It was a good photo.

Edith, your sisters seem to have the handbag game on lock!

And thank you for your input to staxwax. Your family is just as I would have imagined.

  • Golfing at Lake Placid sometime in the early 1920s, left to right, Judge John McInery (with sons), Saba's Grandfather (holding club), Governor Al Smith (center), Judge W.F. Haggerty and Senator J.J. Hoey.

  • I like 50's Grandma's house and furniture. Is that a paint brush. I bet she read Henry Miller. Scandalous.

My grandfather is the taller boy on the right.

some my wife scanned of her family in the early 1900's in El Paso, TX.

and these weren't family members but were in one of the photo albums

  • this. and the shadow of the head with hat at the bottom. a nice contrasty shot though for an old picture. i miss black and white photography. The fact that the sky has some texture to it, and didn't just wash out white in the print.
