You people heard about anything about this? I noticed posters in this spot I DJ in, initially drawn to their art direction, then turned on to a cause I knew nothing about.

(I can't find the posters online)

From the site: Movember (the month formerly known as November) is a mustache growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds and awareness for men's health.

I started growing a mustache in support for my peoples involved. I'm forgoing a clean shaven face for an upcoming wedding and potential job interviews in solidarity for my family, friends, peoples, bros, and those effected by prostate cancer and other male afflicting diseases. The spot I DJ at is collecting donations and sharing info about the cause. At the end of the month, there's going to be a party with a barber to give straight razor shaves. Yes, music, alcohol + sharp blades = party.

Miss me with all that hipster shit. Rock a mustache like a man in support.

I feel you. I've had ppl I know do triple takes at my face asking when I sprouted this mustache out of thin air?

Is this more supported in Australia since that's where it originated?

I posted a link to my team here, another message board and twice on Facebook. One dude joined the team, no one donated money. It's hard out there in the fundraiser community!

I heard about Movember on Etsy, which I browse a lot. While I'm all for men's health awareness, I'm pretty tired of the hipster trend of plastering a 'stache on everything from owls to cupcakes.

All I see these days is women on hens nights with fake 'staches - one even plastered one on me when I was DJing one night!

And yeah, it's reasonably well supported in Australia! A few guys at my work are doing it, although I thought more would agree to.
