finally had the opportunity to check this out lastnight, hate to say it, but i honestly found it quite boring and let down (but i had my expectations set a bit too high), Rick didnt seem that hype talking about the album (The Great Adventures of...) and at times it even appeared as though he cringed at some of the tracks from the album. i think i was a bit naive expecting some wild amazing stories behind some of the most classic tracks like Childrens Story, but sadly there werent any amazing stories, anybody else see this yet by chance?

1 hr in and it's been pretty fucking interesting. He's part genius, part cheeky chappy. I was cringing at some of the beats as well, but the lyrics always work.

I remeber that I read an interview about the album with Slick Rick some years ago, and he said he made some tracks which he liked and the rest of the album was fillers. and he knew that he did these fillers, and he knew that he didnt like them, but he needed those fillers to have an album instead of a single.

I found this disturbing because I think that an artist is responsible for the art he releases. But nobody ever asked him why he released music of which he thinks its garbage ?

    Strange, very strange

LOL, can we turn this thread into a contest to spot how many things are wrong with this statement?
