Anyone check this out yet?

I've been watching Part One off and on and it's crazy interesting:

Started it last night, but was too tired to get very far into it. Looked great though, can't wait to watch the rest of it. And if anyone can name the first 2 songs in it from the intro section, I'd be much obliged.

First 2 song snippets from the trailer?
Don't know the first, probably from Wonderwall Music.
Second is Blue Jay Way. Let's listen together.

Thanks, but I meant from the actual doc.

Blue Jay Way is my favorite Beatle's song.

  • I wanted more. They breezed over a lot of things. What about the My Sweet Lord lawsuit? What about I Got My Mind Set On You and that whole mess? It seemed a little out of focus. Not Scorsese's best work.

I thought the same thing. I thought Part 1 was really good. Part 2 was more scattered.

  • I've seen nothing but incredible praise for this doc.

I hear that Clapton comes off like an ass too.

  • Clapton IS an ass.

Before it aired I read a review that echoed what Deegreez said.
I was surprised to see it getting such high praise here after what I read.

I hadn't seen the whole thing when I initially posted this thread. It's slow moving... but not horrible. Worth watching for George's photography (which is featured in a book by the same title too). Talking bout fish eye shots of the Taj Mahal.
