Crock Pot Vol. 2: Night of a Thousand Boogies (Cloven Devil Recordings: CDR-002, 2005)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. ALEXANDER RABBIT: Malaguainia [1968]
A dynamic 45 from a New Jersey band who released an LP in 1970.

2. B.F. TRIKE: Be Free [B.F. Trike, 1971]
Rockedelic issue of a demo LP from later Hickory Wind members. Cool, simple groover.

3. BENT WIND: The Lions [Sussex, 1969]
Drugged-out, stumbling fuzz rock from Canada.

4. BIG BROTHER (FEATURING ERNIE JOSEPH): E.S.P. [Confusion, 1970]
Weirdly, a Pretty Things swipe with Hendrix-like vocals. Phased-out and lightly dusted.

5. BISCUIT DAVIS: Stand Up Suite [Playing on the Moon, 1973]
Many will miss out by not letting this one grow on them. Has a very subtle stone to it. I guess this was the label owner's son's band.

6. BOA: Brave New World [Wrong Road, 1971]
I like the Boa songs done by the vocalist on this one; crude but catchy basement rock.

7. DA CAPO: A Day in the Rest of My Life [Da Capo, 1971 or 1972]
Long, patient jam from this German band.

8. DAMON: Funky Funky Blues [Song of a Gypsy, 1970]
Though not overtly psychedelic, you can feel the resonance of leftover acid trips emanating softly off this sleazy tune.

9. DARIUS: Shades of Blue [Darius, 1968]
???60s pop gets turned on; cool guitar.

10. DEVILED HAM: Port of Ghost Ships [I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night, 1969]
Vaguely Doors-like exploito lament.

11. ECLECTIC MOUSE: Where Do the Hounds Go? [1969]
Arch and baroque Capitol 45.

12. GEORGE BRIGMAN: Schoolgirl [Jungle Rot, 1975]
Love this quietly ominous blues tune, with its late night feel.

13. HELL PREACHERS INC: Let Me Shoot You Baby [Supreme Psychedelic Underground, 1968]
Another bluesy one, from a German exploito record.

14. JUNGLE: Slave Ship [Jungle, 1969]
Really dig the interplay and feel of this one. Oh, to find an OG at a garage sale???

15. NEW JUGGLER SOUND: Glue [1968]
Pre-Laghonia fuzz; not sure where this first appeared.

16. PAX: Exorcismo [1974]
Fun and funny groove from Peru. Let the power of Pax compel you. Came out on 45, not sure if it was on LP.

17. TRIZO 50: Graveyard [Trizo 50, 1969]
All elements indicate you should hate this, but it grows on you like a bad but addictive TV show.
