best flea market find in a long time. mint, 2$ each...
DAMN DUDE! I need to move near you!
after coming back from new york holidays it feel the other way round about moving to the usa granted that you live there. i got them in my hometown cologne/germany and such finds round here don't happen too often.
scooped dozens of 45s down in New orleans last week....but I have lost the memory card for my camera...so Ill just post some youtubes of my favortie finds...couldnt find youtubes for TSU Toronados "flight too many" or Eldridge Holmes "pop, popcorn children" however...great scores for cheap
random randoms incl a beatles reel to reel and some very cool (to my ears) 45s. mostly from an auction that was near junk level, outdoor, pallets of boxes full of frickin anything. people were bidding on the boxes as lots. i scooped all book and record boxes i could for anywhere from $2 to $5 per box. no one wanted to spend anything there. 98% was super chud i already dropped off at salvation army, but the good 2% was worth it.
^^ very interesting acetate of a live disco mix. great. really hard to describe, i need to digitize and post it for yall.
this + the hank ballards below, and bottom right 45 in the very last pic below were from the same strange dj collection i had access to the last few weeks, but i got these few later.
Karl, what's up with that Jamie Lyons promo-EP thing?
I know Lyons, the Music Explosion vocalist with some bubblegum solo stuff on Laurie, but have never seen a 12" promo EP or whatever it is from that label before for anyone.
probably if he checked the first page of this thread... lol
great 45, I'd been lazily looking for a copy for a while.
oh shit, haha oops - wow it sure is weird how that happens sometimes. not the part about me spacing out, (which happens often) but how 2 people on this board will pull the same record at the same time basically.

neither had I - i have no info, except its a 8" flexi, and that is indeed the same jamie lyons. i cant find a date or anything, nor a purpose for its existence that couldnt have been covered by a 45... it was neatly shrinkwrapped to a square piece of brown cardboard but i dont know if that was done later or what. total mystery.
edit - it does say "marketed by Performance Records" so maybe that will lead to some info.
