if it was clean 1k is a good price. it's been fluctuating a lot on ebay (as are most african records) so it's hard to give a definitive price point on it, but it has gone as high as 2k.

It wasn't 1k....... more like 1,250 if you do the RIGHT currency conversion.
250 is a big difference imo........it's a pretty clean copy, have peeped it before, and it's been around in the BIN, yes, for at least a few weeks.

thats true, my $ are weak as hell over here, no doubt. i like that they just leave it in the bin. it was a great surprise.
1K is a decent price for Marijata? i guess that makes sense. i figured it was either in the ballpark, or sorta high. No i didnt pull it out to look, i knew it wouldnt make a difference personally. though i could tell the cover was in quite nice shape. plus i didnt want to accidentally ding it or something. it felt weird for it to just be banging around in the bins in the first place.
Yep...was there last Monday and saw it in the bins...was also kinda shocked to see a 100,000 yen joint in the bins just chillin...anyway it was pretty dope to see an original copy as well. gotta love Tokyo
Holmes, I love that Endeavors track. I found it kinda beat in a 50 cent bin and had never heard it, only a few years ago - I was pretty floored by it. so damn fast, though! If you were DJing it, what the hell could you follow it with that would push the tempo? Doin' the Popcorn??
and flip that Eddie Burns over, "Orange Driver" is thee schitt!
The Jamaica's Greatest is a terrific Prince Buster collection and has one of Dennis Brown's most beautiful songs - One Day Soon - as the starter.
(not the youtube version)

LOL to the BIN comments, as we are well aware that the only bins that be had in Tokyo are 100yen and basically full of turds.....
ok so yeah, i passed on this one (heh), but i just had to snap a photo - never expected to see this one just filed away in the bin. at a grand i would have assumed Disk Union would have put this one up on the wall? it was cool just to see the OG in person though, i never thought i ever would have.
Shibuya Soul/Jazz Disk Union (B1), right?
Actually, it was up on the wall for quite a while. I had my eye on it myself but could never pull the trigger. Especially since I recently got the nice silk screen re-issue.
But they get so much raer week by week that the "old" raer quickly gets shuffled off the wall.

also they gave me an awesome "fame" label t-shirt for free, i have no idea why. i spent about $75, maybe thats it? i couldnt understand them but was very very appreciative and surprised.
