One of my top 10 most favorite bands of all times, genres & continents, this song might arguably not be from their best record (although they're all brilliant) but it holds a very special place in my heart. I just today dug this one out today from a dusty box and god damn if this doesn't bring back memories of times that cost me years of life expectancy... (a very wise investment though in retrospect). Love. love, love this song!

oohh.. and this one... RIP Larissa.

Texacala Jones...not ever another singer like her... my most favorite song by her would be a tie between these two:

A friend taped me the album and it took me years to get it, I still listen to it regularly,

Or any song from this record.

Luis Alberto Spinetta right up there with Marcos Valle as one of my favorite musicians ever.

I practically have these lyrics memorized, phonetically. Wish I knew what they meant! The unhinged guitar from Lanny Gordin just seals the deal.

I really love that album. Lanny Gordin is definitely one of my guitar heros. I just picked it up in Argentina for about $20. Have you seen the music video to that song?

We stayed at the Ace Hotel in Portland last weekend, and the lyrics for this song were written on the wall. You all know it, but it's a song I love- in most all versions- and it's been happily in my head all week.

I love this song. My 3 year old song loves it so much he won't let us play anything else in the car. He walks around the house singing it all day.

    Hey Sakedelic

Here's a free translation I did for a friend some time ago of Gal's song.
My English is very bad, so it may contain errors or some phrase may sound confusing.
If there's anything you can't understand let me know and I'll try to explain it to you.

    Enjoy!

    Me, you, we two
Already have a past my love
    A stored guitar, that flower
    And other little things too
    Me, you, Joao
Spinning in the turntable without stopping
And the dissonant world that we two
    Tried to invent
    Tried to invent
    Tried to invent
    Tried
    The happiness
    The happiness
    The happiness
    The happiness
    Me, you, later
(It's) Ash Wednesday in the country
And the dissonant notes (were) integrated
To the sound of the imbeciles
    Yes, you, we two
Already have a past my love
The Bossa, the sadness, our big pain
    Like two square persons
    Wolf wolf fool
    Wolf wolf fool
    Wolf wolf fool
    Wolf wolf fool
    Me, you, Joao
Spinning in the turntable without stopping
And I feel touched by remembering
    The time and the sound
    Ah! it was so good
But, no more blues, the reality
Is that we learned with Joao
To be forever out of tune
    To be out of tune
    To be out of tune
    To be
    No more blues
    No more blues

Very famous Georgian song in soviet times, from a movie. Always go back to it every couple of months- underrated production steez!

Influenced by the slow jams some folks have already posted, this one is my heartfelt go-to...

In terms of what I can't get enough of at this very moment, it's this thing, and it's completely blowing my shit to smithereens and forcing me to dance around like an android with a bad tick...

Obrigado Moogman.. I really should sit down and translate some of my favorite brazillian tunes. To practice my portugese.
