i agree - I was surprised I enjoyed it as much as I did. I like the 60s setting, Magneto Nazi revenge plot (even though ironically Magneto actor and face is 100% German) and I very much enjoyed the visuals
its for a different thread but I have always been HUGE fan of the Planet of Apes series. I even kind of enjoyed the marky mark trainwreck.

Watched the movie.. xavier was waaaaack! seemed like the dude never watced or read x men comic or animated series..
the movie was the worst of the xmen series so far..
didnt xavier come in contact with mutants much much later in his life..as opposed to chillin with mystique as a kid..?
and whaddup with beast looking like a character that belongs on a cereal box. cheap ass football macotte costume.
anyway..im glad there's a dope ass anime version out.
I never gave a damn about mutants (strictly Batman and G.I. Joe for me), but I really enjoyed this movie. The whole "stay true to the OG" thing only matters to a small percentage of nerds anyways. (I say "nerds" with the utmost respect. Seriously.)
Doesn't Stan Lee sign off on these interpretations? Or is he far removed from the process at this point? I know J.K. Rowling had final say on all storyline tweaks for the Harry Potter movies.
