With the release of Bill Brewster and Frank Broughton's: The Record Players: DJ Revolutionaries this week, i was thinking about other music related non-fiction that strutters are reading or that are essential reading that they can recommend. Im reading 'It Came From Memphis' by Robert Gordan. It came out in 1994. I got it primarily for the chapters on Big Star and Alex Chilton, but the rest is quite good as well. If you want to learn about more of the lesser known Memphis music characters I would check it out.
