The notes on the Arthur Lyman Lp - Bahai sound pretty good to me...but it took me forever to me able to hear the difference, and I still mistakingly buy reissues on accident.
No one's dropped Verocai yet - is that because it's just a given?

i think Karina sticks out like a sore thumb but it's at the end and is not terrible just not as perfect as the rest

I feel that Bad brains LPs have to be disqualified for the tepid reggae jams. Hearing their reggae tunes after facemelting hardcore tunes is the audio equivalent of being kicked in the nuts.
Yes, it's the worst track on the album, but it's easy for me to let it play most days. I grew up listening to that album (I was five when it came out) and that song was just fine to me back then. The weirdo cartoon on the liner notes was something I stared in wonderment iirc. The music behind the verses is funky heat and the break down into the outro kills too. I also grew up on the beetles, and hearing Paul on it is a baffling trainwreck I can't turn away from.
To my earlier list, I'd also add Ruff Draft EP, Thelonious Monk with John Coltrane, John Handy – Recorded Live At The Monterey Jazz Festival. There is actually a lot of jazz I would put on this list.
