I got this record recently and finally had a chance to put it on last night. I thought it was going to be some tepid boogaloo/latin soul cash in, but this joint is hot fire. I looked up some youtubes and it seems he's still playing down in Tampa Bay. Anyone know the story with this dude? I didn't recognize any of the people listed in his band too. This is his only album that I am aware of, what happened?

My man was definately listening to Willie Colon, check out that trombone sound.

SC, that album came out on Alegre! I don't think its the same guy from the Nightwalkers, he doesn't look like anyone on the NW covers. I just found his website: http://www.jazzole.com/index.php?start=5
In the very brief bio it says he was born in PR but raised in Brooklyn, and that he was 16 when they formed Orchesta Sason. Very little info, says to check out his blog for stories, but I don't see a link to a blog.

Esskay, I have the album at home, tonight I'll list the musicians.
