MC 900ft Jesus always makes me chortle. Solo act though. And, IIRC, has Salma Hayek'd here, no?

In defiance of the genius band name and promising song titles like "hitler pained roses" a rather uninteresting band...

When I was a kid I assumed that Van Halen was like the Ramones in that Eddie and Alex had changed their names to be in the band, 'cause obviously no real person had a name as rad as Van Halen.

Also, the Arkestra. I don't even like Sun Ra that much, but every time I read "Arkestra" I start wondering if I've missed something

    Amazing.

Where did they get the inspiration for that? It's a work of art in itself.

I recently bought a strange 45 with early electronic synthesizer experimentation and and the band has a great name:

    Synthi & Gert

I guess most people here might not get the joke, that's why explain what is obvious for us germans.
At the same this record was released, there was a very famous shitty schlager duo called Sindi & Bert, who sold records like crazy. That's were they nicked their name.

I feel like the Happy Flowers should be mentioned here. Not an outstanding name, but their song titles alone deserve mention. Who else has such classics as "My Frisbee Went Under the Lawnmower", "Let's Eat the Baby (Like My Gerbil Did), and "Mom, I Gave the Cat Some Acid"?
