Driving at night (nrr)

From my observations, people tend to be driving crazier at night and I think it is because of the dark.

Why does being harder to see make people want to be more outrageous?

Talking as a back lane driver :pasue:

At night you have a better idea of whats around the corner / further up the road cause you can see the headlights bouncing off stuff.

That makes overtaking a safer gamble than in the day on some roads.

That said, even though it seems safer, it does't account for badgers, deer and all kinds of nocturnal schitt that leaps out of bushes with no respect for the highway code.

oddly enough for someone who had just got the learners license in Oct, i actually prefer to drive in the dark or at dusk, i find it much easier to see

Much easier to see in the dark?..because you can see the other car's lights I guess, yeah.

But, it is harder to see the people in the cars and make eye contact. And I think some drivers get more crazy because they think since other people can't see them that they are like invisible or something?

i have to wear glasses when i drive at night...

i find it easier due to the refelctivness of the paint that they use to paint those dang stripes on the roads, not to mention around these parts i find less people drive at night which makes it easy to drive as well.

at the same time, i havent driven on the highway at night either which i'll assume could be and would be a different beast all together, i will say that people with their highbeams are really annoying..
