    Amazingly all my friends, family - and even the family of all my Auckland-based crew - have so far been accounted for.... but the city, and country for that matter, is totally devastated and everyone knows that it's just a matter of time until they get some very bad news.

    75 confirmed dead and 300 missing with horrendous stories surfacing... alongside some remarkable rescues. Christchurch is filled with historic masonary buildings that have simply crumpled. Looks like this is yet another fault line appearing... different from the 7.1 scale quake they had in Sept 2010.

    People are deperate to get out of theplace now... I know people that have lived there for their whole lives who can't see a future there anymore. This will take years to recover from...

    A sad day for NZ.
