Can usher sing?

I just got home and the family turned on the Grammys. This is the second time I've seen usher perform, otter was a couple years ago at BET awards. Neither time did he sound like he could actually sing. Too much dancing or does the guy actually lack talent?

    I liked the muppets & the breastplate okay, but the rapper and the actor singing bothered me.

    So back to the original question, I'm feeling that Usher is a studio singer only. The guy really can't cut it live.

    i noticed the same thing
    basically he was talking his lyrics...he chooses when he wants to add something and doesn't even lip sync
    too much dancing and no singing

    the real question remains can jayden smith rap?

    To me the real question is , When will Usher "come out" ? That said, he's a good performer but a lousy singer outside of the studio.

    Ive never been a fan of Usher but I was convinced that dude can sing if workin w/ the right material that's best for his voice. He's no Jahiem.

    I thought the Usher performance was alright. It was more or less the same thing I felt when he performed during the Halftime Show. But I did like that blue suit of his, looking like MC Hammer in the "Too Legit To Quit" era.

    the pants were terrible but the proud parents mouthing words moment was worse
    however his rap is better than his mom's entire musical output
