    ferocious. When they first started out (i was at their inaugural show, opening for sharon jones) they were sorta riding this feel good, near pop kind of wave, definitely had more of a straight forward approach to a soul music performance ... but lately (within the last year or so) they've added just a touch of kinda dark fuzz-guitared psychedelia to their live business and man does it have the balls now.

    Weird this just got posted. I just revisited the album, and the needle literally ran into the run-out as this thread popped up.

    Great record, and awesome live band.
