Hey everyone. A friend of mine sent me some maps from his work and I'm trying to use photoshop to turn them into jpegs so that I can post them on the internet. When the maps open up on photoshop however the white background turns into a mix of white and grey checkers. Anyone got suggestions on how to fix that? Thanks for the help

Have you tried saving them? The checkers usually just means that there's no color value assigned to the background i.e. it's transparent. If you save them the background should automatically default to white.

  • layers > flatten image > save

or save as > select jpg -- it will say "file must be saved as a copy with this selection" > hit save

or you can always save as png, with transparent background.
