I like how IBB built on the original, but the whole song gives me headache (get me my cane!).
Champ is infinitely more enjoyable to my ears and my dancing self.
daamn, now thats a tough one, looks like apache is in the lead so far, anybody counting votes?? if so i'll put one down for champ, but again, daamn haha, close call!
I love Hawk on the keys. Far, far funkier than the instrumentation on Apache (not the percussion). But Apache is my fav break. Evaaah. I guess because they're bongos the beats sound 'rounder' and 'fuller' than a taught drumskin beat, and the resulting natural reverb (if that's what you'd call it) from Apache is the essence of why 'real' always sounds better than artificial for me.
Apache has also been one of my fav jungle breaks, timestretched and filtered, but still instantly recognisable as the funk.
Break-wise???Apache
Song-wise???Apache
Epic-wise???Apache
Holds up better to near-infinite repetition???Apache
Would play first to a room of normal people who don't know either song???Apache
Most dated and racially insensitive rap song named after and featuring???Apache

Thirded.
but obviously Champ gets extra raer points.
Wow, I need this. Cover so fresh!
I have two bootleg twelves of Apache: the green-label one on "Guava" and the red-label one on "Dell Tone".
I also have a Dell Tone bootleg, but with a yellow label.
I vote Apache, too. BTW. Best "vs." thread in a while.

Song wise I'd happily never hear either again but I'd probably still lean towards Apache.
