I deejayed my first party last night.

A friend and I deejayed a party last night, a first for the both of us. Straight Traktor (no space for records in dorm rooms related) but it was so much fun. People were getting down, and everyone stayed until we got kicked out long after all the alcohol was gone, which is a feat in itself for a party round these parts. We switched off every ten minutes or so, did some back to back selecting for mini sets we had planned out (Prince set, 60s freakbeat set, new new wave set, et cetera) and cut in and out pretty quick. Best night I've had in a while, I'm so envious of you folks that do it for a living. However, we got asked to play another party two weeks from now so who knows. Super excited about this. Also I can finally contribute to bad request posts.
