    They're both Irma Thomas songs. Don't know who the artists doing these versions are though.

    hey, thanks for the info, i already found out that "hittin on nothing" was first recorded by irma, but unfortunately i cannot find out who did the cover. the raining song is different to the one that irma was performing,
    anywasy, many thanks for you help so far.
