A friend of mine told me he was DJing this weekend when a girl approached and made the following request.

"Ummm, my friend just got an abortion, so can you play Toxic by Brittney Spears?"

And no, he didn't play the song.

I don't understand either, I just can't believe someone would say such a thing.

    Hello friend,

I am not sure how "Toxic" as a request in honour of someone who had an abortion is a "request of the century". Please explain.

    b/w

I thought this was gonna be about (insert mega-raer of personal significance here).

    Kindly,

    I would've played it for $20.

Her family planning skills are as poor as her taste in music?

Toxic has come up before. This is the one song that folks - who are not regular Spears fans - seem to enjoy.

There are just so many things wrong with this whole scenario.

This gives new meaning to "blood on the dance floor".

  • should have been "pull out" by dfa1979?

I'm not a fan of "Toxic" or most of their pop production (I respect it but it's not my thing) but the guys who did it - Bloodshy & Avant - are also the guys behind Miike Snow, which I love.
