El Sparko's is the best so far, I think. The other beats are by and large nice, but don't really have the feel I expect from a "Life's a Bitch" remix. And yeah, that sample has been used, but you flipped it different enough for it not to bother.
Here's my attempt at a remix, i think this sample has been used before but i couldn't think of who so i gave up and did it for fun anyway, it's supposed to be kind of cheesy...:
ZigZag's beat was real nice, but i agree, the accapella goes way out so i had to stop listening, Doc McCoy's had nice samples but the drums were pretty toy, overall nice stuff, and i'm checking the third one next...

seriously? elsparkos drums sound like they were recorded in a coke can. i respect your opinion though, mackaveli. i think doubling up the kick is a bad look no matter what. 1/32 would sound waaay outa place.

I really dug El Sparkos, cause I felt it captured the vibe of the original track the best, and I really dug Delay's as well - only thing is that the piano on the chorus sounded a bit out of tune. But the cuts are nice!
i don't know how you guys can do that so fast, you know remix in like 10min or an evening? i'd like to see the process. remember that pharrell video where he created that track for that hotmama in 30secs? fuck.
first i clocked the bpm, then grabbed my a few records from my "crate of breaks i'll probably won't use for anything", found a drum beat, looped it... once the drums were on, i literally just flipped thru records til i found some that i haven't used (in this case Nancy Sinatra's "boots", tony williams lifetime "emergency" and one or two others...) and slotted them in... then i put the fuzz bass on with the Microkorg and then spend about 15 minutes arranging the drops, etc...
it's like anything, once you do it alot, you can do it quick... (and if you're Pharrell or Mannie Fresh and don't waste 30 minutes EQing samples, you can do it quicker!)
lately, i can't seem to make happy tracks, so this was gonna be grimey no matter what the vocals are... tho, life's a bitch, than you die...
