Tracks from Ipod to comp?

I lost a bunch of mp3's on my comp awhile back but still got them on my Ipod..is there any way to transfer them back to my Itunes library?I tried dragging and dropping but no go.

    There are probably programs that do it for you, but it's easy enough to do a Search, treating the iPod as a harddrive
    Apple renames your mp3s and drops them in random folders, but the tags contain the info you want

    So browse to iPod_ControlMusic on your iPod (hidden folders must be visible)
    Search > All Files and Folders > Enter artist/album name under "A word or phrase in the file"

    This will give you a list of the files in question that can be moved to your computer
    Rename as needed (mp3tag works well)

    For Mac I tried a bunch and ended up using expod. I'm sure there are tons of freeware or shareware programs for Windows as well.
