Been a bit of time since the passing of what I consider my favorite record store ever.

Was going through the unbelievable digs thread which made me look through some of my old pics of vinyl that I copped there. I can't believe how well that store treated me.

A short list:

Looking through my old pics, remember a lot that had been totally forgotten...

And I say short bc I'm leaving TONS of stuff out that I hung on to or that I'm just forgetting. That place was magical.

Plaese to share your Aron's Anecdotes.

Who knows. But I do know what happened to another former employee:

It took you way WAY back.

  • Yupp. I miss it. That place was part of my morning routine. Drink coffee, smoke trees, go to Aron's.

I remember one time parking down the block in the lot of a small strip mall, in front of a sex trinket/porno store because the Aaron's lot was full. Anyhow, I come back to my car an hour later or whatever and on the ground by the door of my car is a freshly cracked open empty dildo box. It just couldn't wait 'til they got home, apparently. That's my most vivid Arron's related memory. They were also hella cool about consigning records by seemingly any weirdo who walked in off the street. RIP.

  • store looks like it was awesome. what city was it located in?

one of the worst pieces of news I'd received in a looooong time :(

  • I heart Arons. Many a good rap record was found there. Miss that place.

  • I blame Meg Whitman.

I always made a point of stopping there whenever I was in town, definitely got some good things out of there, the price stickers on the labels used to kind of piss me off though because if I removed them they'd either tear the label, leave really sticky residue that then stuck the label to the inner, discolored the label or all of the above. lol
