    Always associated this guy with the Nite-Liters. All their albums were so good and he arranged damn near everything on all of them.

    Yep - they both married one of Berry Gordy's sisters as well - different ones.
    He got gaye to join the moonglows in the fifties, brought him into the motown fold, where fuqua was head of artist development, produced the tammi terrel duets, and hooked up with Gaye when he was keeping a low profile in Ostende in Belgium to help him and produce Sexual Healing. Gaye referred to him as a surrogate father and stated fuqua 'saved his life'.

    Did great stuff for a string of labels; Chess, Motown, RCA...
