    i don't like to call myself a "dj". i'm not comfortable with it.
    i don't like it when ppl call me "dj" either, like it's my name.
    i just rather do it.

    im so glad you folks can see what i deal with on a regular basis.
    back in 04, i used to play with that cat de la. he had some nice cuttin skills. him and craze did a night that was pretty damn fresh.

    Aside from the cheesiness and in-your-face product placement, I don't think this is a bad idea....but only in a pre-serato world. When someone is working off a computer it's hard for non-djs (and even djs) to tell what is "live" and what is pre-recorded, let alone whether the pre-recorded stuff is even the dj's own work.

    If a dj was just up there with records, I think this type of contest/show would be interesting to djs and non-djs. It's like turning the DMC's into a more watchable exhibition of dj talent.

    Btw, I also know that there have been dozens of contests like this, but from what I know, this is the first reality tv show (if it ever gets picked up).
