(NRR) Basketball Cards - ship out to grade or not?

ive asked a few friends but am asking the lot of you as well.
i have 86-87 fleer basketball set with all the cards and stickers minus the jordan sticker (but his rookie card is here). they all look damn near untouched and the original owner put them in hard plastic cases.
i have a few questions:
1) should i take out the pricier ones (jordan, malone, etc) and ship them to beckett for grading or is there a better way?
2) is selling them on ebay the best way?
3) should i keep it as a set or sell them as individual cards? (i have jordan, malone, barkley, olajuon, byrd, and magic j which i think are the pricier ones)
i have never really dealt with anything other than records so any help would be appreciated.
