bobby beausoleil - lucifer rising soundtrack.

i believe he was already in prison when he recorded this?

yes... he's been in prison since 1969, the tate/labianca killings were supposeddly copycat killings to prove his innocence... also, he played in Love back in the day... and recently contacted my girl to try to show his art at her gallery

that said, it's a pretty good soundtrack...
    [/end serial killer geektalk]

oh, and "sacred love" by the bad brains, if no one has mentioned it...

where jimmy paige failed, bobby succeeds
he also "stars" in anger's earlier "invocation of" movie

    Edge of Daybreak LP
--Richmond, VA beautifies the inside, Carringtons!

a real sleeper, use to find it once a year,
but ever since the richmond show folded......
    haven't seen a copy.

there is also an insane loner folkie-country lp,
recorded in a womens prison, that has some funky soul moves & beats.
homemade looking art cover, can't think of the title.
    (OZ has/had a copy)

also there is an oklohoma prison lp with a funky disco track, scored it off dj-nevillec's shop

Been enjoying the reissue of this one: dude was off to the pokey for possession and put this down in the 2 days he had left or something along those lines. It's really good.

And no one may want to state the obvious, but why sleep on

...is not as hot as it looks. Mainly protest folk and some testamonial interviews. It was produced by "Soul Rock From The Rock" though.

And I don't think Gary Higgins actually recorded the Red Hash in prison, but a beautiful LP nonetheless.

No - as I recall it, Red Hash was recorded in one mammoth 40 hr. session right before he went to jail for possession (for 2 years!) Some serious 25th hour shit.

And let's not forget this number...

What would THAT crowd sound like?
