The usual questions apply. Who has been there? All recommendations welcome. I'll be in Quito, but will have some opportunity to see other towns.

    I've been twice, but still like Peru better. Are you an outdoors person or more of a cultural traveler type?

    There was a sick rooftop pizza restaurant a couple blocks from the zocalo centro in Quito that was . Great views of the old city at night.

    So far, only volcano hikes, bike rides to waterfalls, street markets and lots of eating is planned. Guinea Pig is decidedly not what I'm after, so call me soft. Ha!!

    I presume that the record digging there will be nothing short of disappointing.

    You are correct. No, no records in Ecuador.
