I found this at a local charity shop a while ago, can't find any info on it or the artist/label.The title is Bantu Muzic - Zimbabwe on fireProducer is credited as Frederik Zindi and song credits go to David compton / Thomas Mapfumo / Greta Chieza / Winston kennedy The lp is a solid mix of afrobeat / reggae / funkIm hoping someone on here has some information on the lp or artists involvedI will try and get some audio clips up as soon possible.Thanks

fred zindi is a musician / ethnomusicologist / historical writer about zimbabwean music. he teaches at the university in harare. this was a huge undertaking for him - arranging some of the most famous zimbabwean songs especially for this release.

Thomas Mapfumo is of course one of the most important Zimbabwe musicians of the 80s. His music was part of the soundtrack for the revolution that ousted the Rhodesian government (yeah) and brought Mugabe to power (oops).
