Rockin' Records book any good?

Does anyone know if Jerry Osborne's Rockin' Records price guides are any good?Based on the title of the book, I'm afraid it's going to be purely crusty.I generally hate price guides; I just want fairly comprehensive (soul, funk) checklists.Any comments?
