Just saw the auction for this:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RARE-Corgi-Disco-R...=item335b5545ddthe guys description is pretty hillarious.
Comments
i like the guys description as well: he went all out.
auction sniper set to stun
"Scenario: power cut. Which DJ will still be spinning on battery power. The guy with the Corgi kit of course! This is for the original DJ Hero."
BANG
"Modern MP3s and CD decks? They're BULLSHIZZLE man compared to this original granddaddy-of-disco analogue-tech yellow mofo!"
BOOM
"I mean look at that happy* young man with the stripy t-shirt on the packaging. With that setup he looks like he gets tons of pussy! He must be touring all the mega clubs around the world by now, or totally burnt out with the superstar DJ lifestyle; either way this kit would've raised his game."
Q: Almost embarrassed to ask... What's shipping to Australia for this? 24-Mar-10
A: Don't be embarrassed! I would FLY to Oz to pickup a Corgi! Saying that, I'd also happily do a return trip from England to hand deliver it to you, if you would be ok with arranging the flights?!? I could stay a while, help drink all your beer, check out the local talent etc I checked online for the cheapest recorded delivery for the box's weight and dimensions (6kg, 30 x 40 x 47 cm) and it would cost ?65 upwards. Surely a return flight would be only marginally more than that? Your friend, J, aka OldSchoolCool, aka DirtyDeluxe.
If you cop this, I need to roll by the crib to see this in action.

If only ya'll had this for the video!
That was then. This is NOW.
dudes eyes are a little warped.
You realize that youtube video touches squarely on three active threads right?

"this is your change to own the corgi disco roadshow dj set
this is very rare and has never been used to my knowledge .
as i found it in a loft space some years ago[/b]
the only this i can see wrong is the headphones sponge has perished[/b].
due to age"
Current auction:
"The mysterious guy I obtained this kit from says he found it in a loft space some years ago.[/b] It's ever been used to his knowledge and I believe him; all the wires are factory-freshly bound and the packaging and kit is all there, in MINT CONDISH, and all works like the day it left the factory. It could've only been used a couple of times if at all.
OK two stupidly minor 'defects' to know about:
1: the headphone foam earpads have perished into crumbly nothingness due to age[/b] (don't forget these are 30 years old) but hey, the headphones still work. Cut out some more foam pieces and stick em on. Bosh: new pads."
That's quite a grip-n-flip.
"I'll show you how to do this, son."
