And Clinton might kiss the black babies, but only because he wants to eat them.
Not to mention how much of an insult it is for Clinton to even be in Haiti after he got some many good folks killed down there by pump faking yet never shooting on that "invasion" back in '94.

Straight from the mouth of a Haitian policeman...when UN-related food distributors themselves eat the same rations that they are handing out to the masses, they always follow their food with some unknown pill. Yet, this pill isn't ever given to Haitians to accopany that same food. Seeing this, the Haitian policemen has informed his extended family not to eat UN-dsitributed food, period.

People are dying because of food shortages in Haiti, and you have this to say?
The UN does help to distribute a "mysterious" pill in Haiti, which is an anti-parasite medication. They began giving them to Haitian children as part of a program that began before the earthquake.

One of the big reasons why Haiti can't feed itself...
Read that article IN FULL. Clinton says that pressing Haitian markets to open up fully to American rice was a mistaken policy. Haiti is prone to floods, drought, earthquakes, and hurricanes. They have never been an agricultural oasis because geography and climate do not allow it, and would not allow agricultural self sufficiency for their sizeable population. Should the US have flooded Haitian markets with US businesses' rice? Probably not. BUT not having American help in Haiti would lead to devastating consequences for Haitians: "Now more than half a million Haitian peasants are on the edge of starvation. They may die unless the large disaster relieft effort that American agencies are gearing up succeeds. 8-12 months of drought, a soaring population rate, archaic farming methods and primitive transporation and communications have brought famine to impoverished Haiti."-"Northwest Haiti Facing a Famine After Drought," New York Times, 6/8/1975, pg. 14

It goes back through history in layers, but when the US comes up with excuse after excuse...some good, some bad...for imposing themselves upon Haiti, it does always end as just that, an imposition.
The IMF has actually made such practice a science, the way they look for a nation facing crisis, lend their hand in an effort to "help", and next thing you know they own all of the assets of said country.
Right now, the Haitian government beyond questioning why so much aid funding collected publicly has yet to reach the streets of Port au Prince, is encouraging investment in self-sufficient Haitian industry in favor of outright charitable aid. They're on some help us learn to fish ish rather than simply asking for a gift plate of fish to eat.
But, as has been the norm for hundreds of years, the US by way of its stranglehold on the Haitian people, isn't interested in ever seeing a self-sufficient Haiti. And as it has been for the longest, the earthquake was nothing but another excuse/opportunity for the US government to come in and dictate terms to the detriment of Haitian autonomy.
Clinton can apologize again and again for his misdeeds against Haiti, yet noone with a horse in the race expects him to actually turn the tide of his actions into suddenly treating Haiti fairly. These assholes are there first and foremost to wreak havoc and the historical record proves nothing but that.
