I may be alone on this, but I just enjoyed this album waaaaaaaay more. Even though "MATSB" had the tighter singles, "Main Ingredient" seems like a better album.
My fave was MATSB. It goes to show you how different peoples tastes are - I never liked Main Ingredient. I played it a few times after it dropped, was kinda about it & haven't really listened to it since. Once in a while, I'll put it on to see what I'm missing, but almost never get past Chocolate City. I like the remixes for that lp better than the OG versions.
no way... the first one was better than this one... are you kidding man!
1. Streets of New York 2. Wanted: Dead or Alive 3. Money in the Bank 4. Bad to the Bone 5. Talk Like Sex 6. Play It Again, Polo - Big Daddy Kane 7. Erase Racism 8. Kool Is Back 9. Play It Kool 10. Death Wish 11. Jive Talk 12. Polo Club 13. Rikers Island
Come on man, that's heatery! Then you add the Bad To The Bone remix.... OH SHIT

One album missing in that equation. It should be:
My bad. Co-sign on the D'Angelo. Brown Sugar is way better IMO
I think Axis: Bold as Love is better than Are You Experienced, but that's debatable.
