I wanted to post this last night while the excitement was still electric but we all know how that went.Anyway, my girl and I don't usually see eye to eye on music but Sharon Jones and basically the whole Daptone catalog have been hugely agreeable.So last night she texts me something to the affect of "OMG I GOT YOU THE BEST THING EVER YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW AWESOME I AM YOU'RE GONNA LOVE ME SO MUCH AAAAHHHHH!" or something like that. She went on to tell me that it wasn't quite as good as a puppy but better than new lingerie so my interest was piqued.Go up to campus later that night to claim my prize and lo and behold she's got two tickets to Ms. Jones at the Vic in Chicago. Not only was I unaware that she was playing, but the gig is on the last day of finals. My last day of finals ever. Needless to say it's gonna be an awesome night.
