I was looking through the Freddy Fresh book last night but it doesen't list much 90's stuff so i was wondering if there was something that had covered the 90's era.

nah, there are just things i know i missed out on that I may have forgot about that i wanna pick up now.

it might be a little easier to start with a labels/artist, get their complete catalog and then cross reference one label/artist/group/satelite members etc at a time, once complete start on the next one.

There's nothing like this.

At one point, me and Mercer at Sandbox joked (half seriously) about putting together a guide to indie hip-hop titles of the '90s but we soon realized how impossible a task this would be. The layers of obscurity run mad deep, far more, I would argue, than in the '80s just given the explosion in labels that happened during the '90s.
