    I almost got jumped for my burgundy pair on Atlantic Ave on my way home from school in 1982. If my friend hadn't called me over to where there was a group of people I woulda been riding the bus home in my socks.

    Yes! Chucks por vida. Although, walking as much as I do on 114 degree days the thin sole feels almost as if you're barefoot.
