If you've got the Fu-Schnickens album, there are a lot of cuts on there that are more danceable than "La Schmoove." "Schmoove" is the cut, don't get me wrong, but there's a ton of great "fast rap" stuff on there.
Has anyone mentioned Twin Hype "Do It to the Crowd?" That joint is slammin', man, slammin'!
Nah, i mean not so standard in that not too many people know about it while the Souls joint everyone knows. His first album is classic minus a few tracks[/b]
The Craig G joint from that album is my shit. I like how hard he goes with all the '88 references. Dude spread it on a bit thick but props for a shout out to Dukakis!
you do understand that this is from like a year or two ago, right?
oof. actually, i never really figured out what the deal was with that album. i remember hearing people say it was all fake, but then never getting any confirmation so i just assumed it was actual tracks from 88. so it's actually those artists listed but it was all recorded a couple years ago? are they all acapellas from late 80s on top of recent "retro" beats? what's going on here?

No - these are all new songs, recorded new-ly. The artists were simply asked to pretend like they were rapping back in '88.
Hence, "I'm like John McClaine in the Nakatomi building."

The first rap LP I ever bought. Can't find a video with "Session In Poetry" but that is my first pick from that album.
