    A friend of mine was "Michael McDonald" on Stars In Their Eyes years back. I can only find one link to it:

    I remember having a football coach in high school, this was around 1987, and he wrapped up a speech at the end of a Friday practice by saying: "now, don't go out there and undo all of your hard work, by getting drunk, chasing girls, and listening to the Doobie Brothers."

    I'd love to say he was making an illusion to smoking weed, but poor dude was such a meathead, a nice one actually, that he was just so far out of style that he still thought of the Doobies in 1987 as what the kids are into. We all just cracked up laughing at/with him.

    But yes, What a Fool Believes is the real deal, any year.
