anyone seen Bert Jansch live

I have a chance to see him up in Portland, OR in a week. I assume he does a good show. Anyone seen him recently? definitely looking forward to this one.

    Never had the chance myself, and Jansch is a long time fave of mine. I'd like to hear your report.

    Yes and it was a phenomenal show. He is a master of the folk music tradition and one of my favorite artists ever. He basically gets on stage with no pretense and just plays for an hour, choosing songs as he goes more or less, giving antecdotes about the music's history along the way. Still an amazing guitarist and his voice is still great.

    He also doesn't tour the west coast THAT often (every 2-3 years these days), so it's a great opportunity.

    I highly recommend "The Black Swan", his record from 2006. So good.

    Damn, I'd love to see Bert Jansch live... one of my all-time favourite guitar players for sure.
