how long do you keep your dollar records?

bad boners, rinked rock, etc etc?I just cleaned out a bunch after like 5 years... 6 boxes worth..

If it's good - forever (my tastes aren't fickle)

if it's flat-out bad and i cant see myself going back to it ever - then out the door it goes

if it's good but rinked - i hold on to it till a better copy shows up

I know there are some purists who never go in the dollar bins. But I enjoy it. You do need a system for sorting crap.

I'd say that I take a crate or two of reject records to my favorite thrift store every two weeks. Every record that comes home gets cleaned, listened to, and filed. Few records hang around the 'to be listened to' section for more than a week or two.
