    All love for Bruce Campbell but he didn't direct himself! I'm just glad to see Raimi making a movie not involving a comic book character. And I hear the CG effects are very minimal.

    I'll say this much: the trailers have been terrible. But the reviews have been astounding.

    the trailers themselves havent been good in a "good trailer" sense...
    but you can tell if you've sifted thru pounds of 00-decade, mainstream pop-oriented BS that there is promise in this film.

    there are dozens of movies with great trailers that were bad movies.

    No doubt. I'm just saying it's understandable if people thought this movie might be kind of wack based on the trailer however. The horror-genre hasn't had a real breakout film in how long now?

    Perfect movie.

    A few thrills, lots of laughs and gross-out humor. Dabs of intrigue. Relatively snappy story. Overall quality flick.

    My girl is still having nightmares about the old lady.

    People going to see this and expecting a film in the vein of The Others are obviously going to be unimpressed. People (like me) who desperately miss fun horror movies that are less interested in character development and more interested in good gory shocks and fun will be fully satisfied.

    personally I thought it was really enjoyable and also very funny.
