ADOBE CS4 HELP

i am very new to this whole computer thing. anyways, im trying to tilt-shift and time lapse about 3 hrs of footage. this isnt a problem.however, the problem im having is rendering after effects footage in my premiere timeline. does anyone know what im talking about? if so, why does it take so effing long? like 15 hrs and shit. is that normal? any help plaese? thanks...

video is a huge PITA at all times with computers.

ok, that makes me feel a lil better. i wasnt sure if something was wrong with all this waiting. i miss flatbeds.

Wouldnt it make sense to render less at a time in case the computer crashes two thirds through the process?

im doing 16 min segments (shrunk to 20 sec) at a time and its still taking up to 12 per segment. i think there might be something wrong with my computer.
