Getting ready to do a good bit of ebay listing for the first time in probably four or five years. What do you use to record soundclips for auction with? What format is best? Do you use a plugin player? Are soundclips in auctions worth it? Thanks for the pointers guys.

  • use polderbits to record them straight from the record, unless the records are new releases then i get soundclips from elswhere, embed them with divshare, yes they're worth it.

I use Soundforge and post them at 320K and make sure to note they are high-res and unmodified...the high-res lets people hear the warts and all if they are super picky about surface noise, pops, etc...saves you headaches from picky folks after the auction.

I guess that's a good point I didn't think about as a seller on ebay.
