    I was under the impression MYA was for producers to talk shop. Actual music belongs here.

    PS-Don't ask for a track list plaese, I lost it and don't remember what half the cuts are.
    Pathetic I know, but without a vocalist I have the damnedest time figuring out what's what.

    By "DJ Mixes" I thought it meant promotional/commercial stuff. Mixes made solely in the spirit of sharing good music definitely belong over here.

    I really like the "music y'all" section: over there the threads stay longer on top and don't go down as quickly as in "crate diggin revealed" because of all the new drivel.

    I tried to download and got a folder that couldn't be opened on my Mac.
    Any tips? This looks like a killer and I love to give it a listen.

    It's a .rar archive. Widely used compression format.
    On a Mac, I'd recommend UnRarX for opening it.
    Free, lightweight and easy to use.

    Re: the MYA forum - I'm not a fan (sorry RAJ). Bring the "homemade" music stuff back to CDR. I know the grumpy born-again collectro weenies think that beat threads and gear talk is "so 90s", but fuck 'em.
    Commercial mix announcements belong in the announcements section, of course.

    ha! no -- it was a threadless submission that scored VEY low! f*cking hipsters! - -probably should of added more keyboards though...

    my mate is gonna print it up through his t-shirt company -- but i can't imagine it'll be very quick! i'll let you know...

    OK, here's a mix of Soundtrack Funk/Jazz and Soul that I did when I was deep into that stuff.
    My audio editing equipment recently kacked out, so I can't splice the first and second halves of the mix together.

    As for a track list, I never did one and it would take a while to figure out, but there's some blaxploitation like Charles Earland's Dynamit Bro's, Dolomite, Willie D, Black Girl, Bare Knuckles, etc..., mixed with some different sounds from Gainsbourg, Balacov, Dibango:Kusini, Pound, etc...

    Pencilface, Mario, just checked your mixes and really enjoyed them. Mario - are those all from OG vinyl - it's like a who's who of Brazilian funk!

    Here's my most recent effort - I put it in the Music You All section. It's all from OG vinyl, recorded into Logic. I played some clavinet and overdubbed it on the Last Poets track. PM me if you want any of the tracks names. It's not my slickest mixing; I just wanted to send out some tracks I'm feeling right now, that really epitomise 'funk' for me.
