    and the original by Chris Kenner didn't even HAVE a chorus, it was just him naming one dance after another

    a few years later in East L.A., Cannibal & the Headhunters would do this song live. there were so many verses that Cannibal would forget, so to bide time, he came up with the "na, na, na...." bit that we know today
