Yeah, it takes batteries.
It seems to be everywhere but in the US.
I did some research for a friend on the 303 and saw this coming out, looks fun.

stein i've seen some guys hook up the 303 with some rc batteries, its relatively simple if you have some electrical knowledge. Ask around, i bet some dudes you know could do it.
