Saturday March 14th 9:00 pm until late, $10 ($5 after the show)Voodoo Funk featuring the Budos BandThe Voodoo Funk party returns as a monthly event to Williamsburg's Union Pool. The Budos Band will open up the night at 9:00 pm with their intoxicating blend of Hypnotic Afro Funk and Psychedelic Soul Instrumentals.After the show, expect the funkiest vinyl ever pressed south of the Sahara desert, from Guinean Mandingo-Psych to Ghanaian Funk, Raw Nigerian Afrobeat or Twangy Garage Funk from Benin. The low lit back room of the club with its large wooden dance floor and potent sound system might just be the most fitting venue for this unique night of deep and earthy funkyness.Voodoo Funk will continue on the second Saturday of each month, next date being April 11th and featuring the Mandingo Ambassadors.

    What a night! Big thanx to everybody who made it out and especially to the Budos Band for blowing everyone's minds.
    Easily amongst the top 5 parties in 15 years of DJing.
